School rules
- Students are required to attend their lessons, group lessons, instrument lessons and music lessons punctually. Absences and reasons for them must be reported during school hours. The school will not grant permission from lessons if the reasons given are deemed unimportant.
- If permission is requested from class, the guardian must request it well in advance, and the reasons are then assessed by the teacher in each case. Students are required to attend rehearsals for concerts, unless there are valid reasons, and failure to do so may result in the student not being allowed to perform at those concerts.
- Attendance is mandatory at 80%. If a student's attendance falls below that mark, the student may be expelled from school, but not until after a meeting with the student's parents or guardians.
- Good attendance is very important because a student who does not attend school well loses the context of their studies, has difficulty paying attention, and may eventually give up. In addition, poor attendance prevents normal progress in playing an instrument and at the same time, interest wanes.
- If a teacher becomes ill and a class is cancelled, an attempt is always made to contact students or guardians to prevent the student from having to travel unnecessarily. In most cases this is successful, but there may be times when it is not possible to reach a student or parent by phone or email.
- If a teacher is ill for a longer period of time, the school will make up for it depending on the circumstances. The school is not obliged to compensate for lost time due to student illness, but if a teacher's illness lasts more than one month, tuition fees will be reduced proportionally.
- If a student intends to perform outside of school (e.g. at a school party), he should inform his teacher well in advance. This rule should be respected, not because the music school wants to prevent a student from performing in public, but solely so that the teacher can monitor his student's progress and ensure that what the student performs is well-rehearsed and presentable, whether in school or outside.
- If behavioral problems arise with individual students, the school reserves the right to address such issues in collaboration with parents.
