The vision of Fjarðabyggð Music School is that music has a message for everyone and that everyone can pursue music studies on their own terms in an environment that is inspiring and vibrant. The school's main goal is for music to be a natural part of human life and visible in society.

Children's well-being
Children and parents in need should have access to appropriate, integrated services without barriers. Integrated services for child well-being are planned and continuous and aim to create a comprehensive vision and framework for the service systems that are most important for children's well-being.
Children's contacts
All children and parents shall have access to a contact point for services in the interests of the child's well-being as needed. The role of the contact point is primarily to provide information, assist parents and child and support integration at the first level in accordance with the wishes of the parents and/or child. Parents and children can contact the contact point directly or send a request through the Akureyri Town Service Portal.

The cafeteria
The school emphasizes that students consume healthy and nutritious food. The school operates a cafeteria where students can purchase hot food for lunch, and we strongly encourage parents to take advantage of this service.
Taking pictures is not permitted in school unless specifically permitted. Cell phones should never interrupt class and should be kept in students' lockers or at home.
School rules
The goal of the staff policy is to ensure that the school is an attractive workplace where professional knowledge, skills, and a strong desire to serve students and parents are developed.
